    Ian is the driving force behind Nelian Consulting. With a personal moto of ‘let’s get things done’ he certainly is always cutting to the chase to push the business, clients and associates forward.

     

    Ian is inquisitive and loves to travel, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. He has spent more than 25 years globetrotting the world, living and working in US, Europe, China, Middle East and now Hong Kong. All the while gaining a deep understanding of many cultures, trends, consumer behaviours as well as building a healthy network of colleagues and friends.

     

    Ian embraces innovation and is fascinated by the technological pace of markets such as China. On the weekend however he enjoys the simpler things in life. His downtime involves hosting BBQs with friends, playing a round of golf, and travelling the region with his partner.

     

    Ian prides himself on his eagerness to learn but also his willingness to share his knowledge, a true collaborator. He can often be found at the local wine bar helping a colleague with a challenge they are facing, however obscure it may be. A leading tourism sector authority and a capable orator, you’ll find Ian speaking at industry events or lecturing at universities.
